Starting at Driffield's railway platform, which is located on the edge of the town. To begin your walk head down Beverley Road until you reach Skerne Road, head down this road and continue over the railway line. Stay on Skerne Road, on route you will see the Bradshaw building and continue past the duck feeding area. Skerne Road will then change to Driffield Road. If you follow the Driffield Road until the road begins to turn as you head closer to Skerne, there will be a footpath on the right that leads you through a small forest area.

If you follow the footpath over the stile, continuing along the field edge of Grange Farm and this will bring you out onto Meggison's Turnpike (a road). Then head right to continue on Meggison's Turnpike, you will walk past Rose Farm and continue until you walk over a red brick wall sided bridge (over Skerne Beck). Straight after this bridge turn right along the footpath at the side of the beck, follow the footpath until you meet the railway line. There are stiles either side of the line, once across the trainline pick up the footpath again and follow this along the hedge line until you meet the back of Low Green Farm. Walking along the footpath which lies on the outskirts of the farm, you will then meet Orchard Lane in Hutton.

Then head left on Orchard Lane towards Howl Lane where you will see a white wooden sign at the junction, from here follow the sign's direction pointing towards Skerne & Wansford. This is in the direction of the train line, then you will see a footpath located between numbers 28 & 30. This footpath between the houses will then bring you out between fields that run alongside the trainline. You will then reach a stile on the right that will continue the path until you reach another stile taking you left in the direction of Hutton Cranswick Bowls Club and finally down the side of the The White Horse Pub.

Next go left onto Main Street until you reach the bottom of the Village Green, at this point head down Southgate. Follow along Southgate until you pass a pink house located on your right, after the house you will see a footpath sign directing you through a metal gate.

From here you will continue walking with the drain/water way by your side until you reach Little Lane, cross this lane and pick up the footpath again until you reach The Avenue located near Watton Priory. As you pass the house in the image above and continue to head towards Church Lane, then turn left and head towards the level cross on Church Lane. A short walk on from Gatehouse Farm you will see a stile on your right which will take you into the field near to East Yorkshire Caravan Site. There will be Watton Beck on your lefthand side of the footpath, continue until you see a pond and then veer right  as you head towards Kilnwick New Cut bridge.

Once over the bridge, turn left and follow Wilfholme Farm's field edge on three out of the four side. You will on the third side of the field head towards Wilfholme Farm's track road that leads out onto Wilfholme Road. Continue along Wilfholme Road until you see the sign pointing right for "Aike." Head right down the road marked Aike, until you reach a gravel track marked with two tree trunks on either side of the track. Please then head right to follow the road round until you see a junction with Giveway markings, at this point continue on the road round to the right. This road will then link up to Station Road. This is the only road into Aike, so please make sure to listen out for cars on this section, we do not have many residents but there is still the potential for traffic. Once on Station Road, head left towards the sign marked "Barff Hill Farm," then continue on the road which goes over Coal Dike. After that it is a 3/4 mile walk along Aike Lane until you come to the Aike sign and head further into the centre of the village. You will see the Vineyard is located opposite the left hand turn in the centre of the village.
