Starting at Hutton Cranswick's railway platform, which is located in the centre of the village. Walk up Main Street until you reach the bottom of the Village Green, at this point head down Southgate. Follow along Southgate until you pass a pink house located on your right, after the house you will see a footpath sign directing you through a metal gate.

From here you will continue walking with the drain/water way by your side until you reach Little Lane, cross this lane and pick up the footpath again until you reach The Avenue located near Watton Priory. As you pass the house in the image above and continue to head towards Church Lane, then turn left and head towards the level cross on Church Lane. A short walk on from Gatehouse Farm you will see a stile on your right which will take you into the field near to East Yorkshire Caravan Site. There will be Watton Beck on your lefthand side of the footpath, continue until you see a pond and then veer right  as you head towards Kilnwick New Cut bridge.

Once over the bridge, turn left and follow Wilfholme Farm's field edge on three out of the four side. You will on the third side of the field head towards Wilfholme Farm's track road that leads out onto Wilfholme Road. Continue along Wilfholme Road until you see the sign pointing right for "Aike." Head right down the road marked Aike, until you reach a gravel track marked with two tree trunks on either side of the track. Please then head right to follow the road round until you see a junction with Giveway markings, at this point continue on the road round to the right. This road will then link up to Station Road. This is the only road into Aike, so please make sure to listen out for cars on this section, we do not have many residents but there is still the potential for traffic. Once on Station Road, head left towards the sign marked "Barff Hill Farm," then continue on the road which goes over Coal Dike. After that it is a 3/4 mile walk along Aike Lane until you come to the Aike sign and head further into the centre of the village. You will see the Vineyard is located opposite the left hand turn in the centre of the village.
